ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Associate Enterprise Buyer is responsible for conducting routine MRO procurement activities within RS Integrated Supply and/or appropriate client systems. The Associate Enterprise Buyer ensures materials are accurately ordered and received within the procurement system. This position is responsible for processing and expediting orders in a timely and efficient manner and employs problem-solving methods to resolve issues related to delivery, price, or other ordering concerns. The Associate Enterprise Buyer is expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with site personnel, vendors, and clients ensuring open lines of communication. The Associate Enterprise Buyer will maintain control of all aspects of purchasing for assigned clients.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8-5pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure compliance with RS Integrated Supply safety trainings and expectations.
• Demonstrate RS Integrated Supply's core business values every day.
• Create RFQs utilizing the SAS (Sync Automated Sourcing) tool, using preferred vendors as often as possible, sourcing competitive pricing quotes for items not covered under existing agreements, and analyzing results.
• Generate purchase orders using RS Integrated Supply or appropriate client purchasing systems, verifying quoted prices for all items, including inventory reorders.
• Review PO acknowledgements, documenting any price or delivery changes on the purchase order.
• Execute open order management activities, including order expedites, past due follow-ups, order confirmations, and Review Required resolution to ensure timely product delivery.
• Review supplier invoice discrepancies (IDR’s).
• Find and achieve cost savings through sourcing new suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.
• Exceed client contract savings guarantees or internal margin targets through analyses focused on financial acumen, standardization opportunities, bulk-buy opportunities and negotiating best price through utilization of RS Integrated Supply purchasing leverage and contracts.
• Work with Sourcing Management and Category Management Team to determine sourcing strategy where appropriate.
• Assist in establishing new suppliers, including creating vendor records, setting payment terms, negotiating discounts, and retrieving necessary documentation (e.g., W9s, credit applications).
• Maintain open lines of communication by establishing and building relationships with internal and external customers, including middle and upper management.
• Utilize Power BI Reports and Procurement Dashboards to self-manage to expected KPI goals.
• Participate in special projects within Enterprise Procurement.
• Presentations to internal stakeholders as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned within Enterprise Procurement.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• 0-1 years of procurement experience.
• Two-year degree required; four-year college degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• CPM/APICS certification desirable.
• Knowledge of MRO materials preferred.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in the use of the RS Integrated Supply and client ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with acute attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in negotiation and conflict resolution.
• Basic math skills to support savings and margin calculations.
• Capable of compiling and running internal presentations.
• Adept at managing time and prioritizing tasks effectively
• Bilingual in Spanish or French is a bonus.
