The Opportunity

 

The Freight Audit and Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the Transportation team in driving efficiency, cost optimization, and performance improvement across our logistics network. Reporting to the Freight Billing Audit Manager, this role will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting transportation and operational data, as well as commercial offers, to generate actionable insights and supporting strategic decision-making

 

What You Will Be Doing

 

  • Analyse transportation performance, costs, carrier KPIs, and service metrics.
  • Benchmark carriers and evaluate transportation proposals and commercial offers.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear recommendations for operational and senior leadership teams.
  • Identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for network optimisation.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across transportation reporting processes.
  • Support transportation planning, forecasting, and capacity analysis activities.
  • Support the development of dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to help business decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and logistics providers to improve operational performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and strategic transportation projects.

Essential Skills

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Transportation Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain analytics, or a similar analytical role. High-potential recent graduates with relevant academic experience will also be considered.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify actionable insights.
  • Deep knowledge of transportation cost and surcharges, as well as transportation processes, network design principles, and operational performance metrics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong experience with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI. Experience with statistical analysis, and familiarity with SQL and data extraction.
  • Ability to communicate complex analyses in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to challenge the status quo through data-driven recommendations.
  • Bi-lingual
    • Business level English (minimum)
    • Fluent in Italian or Spanish, or French depending on base location

 

Desirable Skills & Experience

 

  • Experience working in an EMEA or multi-site environment.

Compensation & Benefits (Italy)

  • For candidates hired under an Italian employment contract, the compensation package includes:
  • Local Grade: Impiegato, Secondo Livello
  • Pay Range: between €32,000 and €44,00.
  • Variable pay: Annual bonus with a target incentive of 5% of annual base salary and a maximum payout opportunity of 10%, based on the achievement of business objectives measured against the scorecard shared after joining. The incentive is reviewed and paid on an annual basis.
  • Private healthcare insurance: supplementary health insurance incl. family members.
  • Meal vouchers: €9 meal vouchers for each working day.
  • Welfare scheme: €200/year for online shopping. The amount may be increased through the conversion of all or part of the variable bonus into additional welfare credits, in accordance with company policy.
