Location: This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of being able to work remotely and from our Haarlem office. 

Contract Type: fixed term: 6-8 months, part-time: 30 hours or more

The Opportunity  

As HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in connecting our commercial business with the wider HR function, acting as a trusted partner to leaders and employees alike. You will lead the full spectrum of HR activities, from shaping strategic people initiatives and translating business needs into effective HR solutions, to overseeing tactical and operational HR priorities.

Working closely with the local leadership team, the EMEA People team, and key stakeholders across the business, you will help define and execute the local people strategy, supporting business growth while continuing to evolve and mature the HR function. You will also collaborate with external partners managing payroll, pensions, and benefits, leveraging our global HR systems and processes to deliver an outstanding employee experience.

What You Will Be Doing 

  • Partner with business leaders to implement the EMEA and local People strategy.
  • Coach and support managers across the employee lifecycle.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on people-related matters.
  • Support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure People policies, processes, and practices are aligned, compliant, and continuously improved.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness and support organizational design initiatives.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruitment, onboarding, and hiring process improvements.
  • Leverage people data and insights to support decision-making and identify opportunities.
  • Support local payroll, benefits administration, and collective agreement implementation.
  • Contribute to M&A activities from a people and change management perspective.
  • Stay up to date with employment legislation and HR best practices through continuous development.

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or similar role.
  • Experience partnering with and coaching managers at all levels.
  • Fluent Dutch and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Dutch employment law and its practical application.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using people data and insights to support decision-making and drive improvements.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization is an advantage.
  • A Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Belgian employment law and HR practices would be an advantage.
