Transportation Coordinator - Last Mile / Zustelllogistik (m/f/d)

About the role

The Transport Exceptions Specialist supports the day-to-day management of parcel delivery operations across the EMEA network, helping to ensure shipments move efficiently, service levels are maintained, and operational issues are resolved in a timely manner.

The role acts as a key point of coordination between Distribution Centres (DCs), Customer Service teams, carriers and internal stakeholders, providing operational support, reporting and communication to help deliver consistent customer delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily parcel operations across the EMEA network, ensuring delivery issues are identified, communicated and resolved promptly.
• Monitor carrier and delivery performance against agreed SLAs, supporting service recovery activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build effective relationships with internal teams such as; Distribution Centres, Customer Service teams, Supply Chain stakeholders and External Carrier partners, through regular engagement.
• Maintain performance reporting and provide operational insights to support decision-making and business reviews.
• Support carrier, network and system changes, ensuring smooth implementation and clear stakeholder communication.
• Investigate operational issues, assist with root cause analysis and help drive corrective actions through continuous improvement actives.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings, projects and site visits to support operational excellence across the parcel network.
• Support Carrier tendering activities such as RFQs

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience in transport, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Proven ability to manage transport exceptions and make time-critical operational decisions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with logistics service providers.
• Analytical and Continuous Improvement mindset.
• Familiarity with performance reporting and KPI management.
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% as required for business needs.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience in parcel or last-mile delivery environments.
• Experience in SAP / S4Hanna is advantageous.
• Exposure to transport management systems (TMS) or delivery promise tools.
• Experience working in an EMEA or multi-site environment.
