VAS Solutions Consultant

Role Purpose
The VAS Solutions Consultant plays a crucial role in the sales organisation, directly supporting the Head of Value-Added Solutions (VAS). This individual is responsible for understanding customer needs, designing tailored value-added solutions, and ensuring seamless integration with core product offerings.

This role sits within the Sales Operations Team, a dynamic and collaborative environment where innovation and excellence are at the forefront. Leads the following:

  • Customer Engagement & Solution Design:

    • Collaborate with Account Managers during the customer discovery process to understand client needs and business objectives.

    • Design and present tailored value-added solutions that complement core product offerings, addressing specific customer challenges and enhancing overall satisfaction.

    • Act as the technical expert during sales engagements, providing detailed explanations and demonstrations of VAS offerings.

    • Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, refine solutions, and ensure that proposed solutions align with customer expectations and business goals.

  • Sales Support:

    • Work closely with the Head of VAS and the sales team to support solution selling efforts, contributing to the achievement of sales targets and growth objectives.

    • Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other sales materials that clearly communicate the value of VAS offerings.

    • Provide ongoing support to Account Managers and customers throughout the sales cycle, from initial engagement to post-sales follow-up.

  • Technical Expertise & Continuous Improvement:

    • Maintain a deep understanding of the technical aspects of VAS offerings, staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities.

    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve and innovate VAS solutions, contributing to the development of new offerings that address evolving customer needs.

    • Collaborate with other VAS team members to share knowledge, best practices, and insights that enhance overall team performance.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Use CRM software and other data platforms to track and analyze customer interactions, solution performance, and sales outcomes.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to the Head of VAS based on data analysis, helping to steer strategic decisions and improve sales effectiveness.
    • Regularly report on key metrics, including solution adoption rates, customer satisfaction, and contribution to overall sales performance.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement:
    • Work closely with various departments, including Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and Finance, to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of VAS solutions.
    • Act as a liaison between the customer and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.
    • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving customer experience and driving business growth.
  • Communication & Relationship Building:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure successful collaboration and solution delivery.
    • Communicate effectively with customers, Account Managers, and other stakeholders, providing clear, concise, and persuasive information.
    • Participate in and contribute to internal meetings, training sessions, and discussion forums to share knowledge and drive team success.
  • Market Awareness:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to provide relevant insights and recommendations.
    • Contribute to market analysis efforts, identifying potential risks and opportunities that could impact VAS solutions and sales strategy

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in solution selling, with a track record of supporting sales teams and driving growth through tailored solutions.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex solutions effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting data to drive decision-making and improve sales outcomes.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other data insight platforms.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience in solution selling or technical consulting roles within a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific technologies and trends.
