Credit Risk Clerk

Location: This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of being able to work remotely and from our Riga office.

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: EUR 1750 - 1950 gross, depending on your skills and experience.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Credit Risk Clerk to join our Accounts Receivable team in Riga, supporting the UK market.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Accounts Receivable activities to help achieve cash collection, aged debt, and DSO targets in line with RS Group Credit Policy and procedures. You will work closely with colleagues across the UK and Riga, ensuring effective credit risk management, timely processing of customer requests, and excellent customer service.

What You Will Be Doing

• Support the UK Accounts Receivable team in delivering cash collection, debt reduction, and DSO targets.
• Monitor customer credit exposure and payment behaviour.
• Maintain and update customer credit limits and credit-related information.
• Process credit-blocked orders in accordance with company policy and service level expectations.
• Initiate credit holds and manage pro-forma documentation.
• Maintain accurate internal and external credit data records.
• Monitor and manage shared inboxes, ensuring customer queries are resolved in a timely manner.
• Investigate and action fraud-related queries.
• Work closely with Customer Service and other internal stakeholders to support business objectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.

What You’ll Bring

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Previous experience in Finance, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or a related area.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Customer-focused approach with the ability to communicate professionally with a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively within defined policies, processes, and levels of authority.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience working with SAP.
• Latvian language skills.
• Experience in credit risk, collections, or fraud prevention activities.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience working within an international or shared services environment.
