Credit Controller with Italian

Location: This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of remote working and working two days per week from our Riga office.
Salary: Gross monthly salary from 1900 – 2150 EUR, depending on skills, experience and qualifications.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Credit Controller to support our Accounts Receivable (AR) activities and help deliver Cash Collection, Aged Debt, and DSO targets. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the EMEA, using your analytical mindset and strong customer focus to resolve queries, reduce outstanding debt, and uphold our credit management standards.
What You Will Be Doing
- Work together with the AR Team in market to deliver Cash, Debt and DSO targets
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness, approve, or deny credit applications and communicate decisions to the appropriate personnel and/or customer in a timely manner
- Monitor credit exposure, analyse payment behavior, and propensity to default, maintaining risk appropriate credit limits for existing customers
- Process customer credit blocked orders according to credit policy that follow customer service best practices while ensuring customers submit payments on time
- Initiate credit holds and negotiate customer payment plans in collaboration with sales and executive team members
- Maintain up to date internal and external credit data
- Report any payment issues to management or the appropriate team members
- Recognize any irrecoverable debts, report to executive team members, and assist with documentation necessary
- Monitor e-mail inbox, ensuring all relevant e-mails are actioned in a timely manner
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance or Accounting; SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Fluent in both written and spoken English, and good in Italian (starting from B1).
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Motivated, target‑driven approach with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to identify risks, prevent potential bad debt, and solve problems logically.
- Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation, controls and audit readiness.
