The Opportunity
Our supply chain organisation is delivering a significant five‑year transformation, aimed at modernising our operations, improving service performance, strengthening supplier and partner capability, and enabling scalable, sustainable global growth.
Reporting to the Head of Delivery, Group Product & Supply Chain, you will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of strategic projects or programmes that support this roadmap. You will coordinate multi‑functional teams across multiple geographies, manage delivery partners, and ensure projects are successfully implemented to realise tangible business benefits.
This is an influential role with broad scope and no direct line management, requiring expert matrix leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of Supply Chain change initiatives — from planning through to implementation and benefits realisation — ensuring delivery to agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
- Manage cross‑functional teams across Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution Centres, Digital, Technology, Procurement and Finance to ensure alignment and progress.
- Translate high‑level project definitions into clear delivery plans, including milestones, budgets and resource requirements.
- Define and execute project governance, ensuring effective reporting, issue escalation, quality assurance and decision‑making.
- Develop detailed cost/benefit assessments, business cases and benefits realisation plans.
- Manage project budgets throughout the lifecycle, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control.
- Maintain high‑quality project data and reporting within project management tools.
- Identify and manage interdependencies across the wider transformation portfolio.
- Proactively manage risks, issues and change control, ensuring appropriate mitigation and escalation.
- Work closely with Sponsors and Business Owners to shape delivery, manage expectations and ensure readiness for change.
- Manage external partners and contractors, ensuring delivery outcomes and contractual compliance.
- Collaborate with Indirect Procurement to support any vendor sourcing or engagement required for project delivery.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience delivering complex business change projects, ideally within Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, Operations or related environments.
- Experience working in matrix organisations, influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong familiarity with multiple delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
- Excellent change management capability, with experience applying structured change methodologies.
- Strong leadership and facilitation skills, capable of motivating cross‑functional teams balancing project and BAU responsibilities.
- Experience working alongside digital, data or software teams involved in operational or supply chain system enhancements.
- Skilled at constructive challenge, building credibility and operating with integrity at all levels.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bring people on the journey.
