Role Purpose

The Storeperson is responsible for assisting the Senior Storeperson in the management of the Sydney trade counter (Click and Collect) for RS Components. He/She is responsible for the physical dispatch, receipt, and internal movement of stock in a safe and efficient manner with a focus on upholding work standards and providing excellent customer service. 

 

Responsibilities

Supply Chain

  • Deliver cost effective customer service solutions
  • Support new initiatives to increase profitability
  • Ensuring all click and collect orders are picked/packed and ready for pickup with the allotted SLA.

Problem Solving

  • Ensure timely responses made to any quality issues identified during internal and/or external site audits

Operations

  • Accurately pick, pack and dispatch orders as requested by the client.
  • Accept incoming stock and report any discrepancies in paperwork or damage to stock promptly.
  • Scan Stock into and out of appropriate Warehouse Locations.
  • Record all stock movements and paperwork correctly and in a comprehensible manner.
  • Operate supplied equipment with due care, in accordance with set safety procedures and ensure that the equipment’s operational procedures are adhered to.
  • Create a professional and efficient image of the company by ensuring that the warehouse is always clean and tidy.
  • Contribute to the company's development by ensuring all dealings with outside parties are professional and customer-oriented. 
  • EH&S commitment: Demonstrated commitment to EH&S policies & personal initiatives to promoting a safe working environment.
  • Comply with all Government rules and regulations, including appropriate audits as required.
 

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in a retail/warehouse environment 
  • Background in customer service/warehousing 
  • Knowledge of SAP systems and processes  
  • The ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal, at all levels 
  • Experience working in a process focused organisation 
  • Experience in problem solving and continuous improvement techniques 
  • Ability to drive high performance through team 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent
