Role Purpose:
The Business Director of A&C (Automation & Control) & Electrification & T&M (Test & Measurement) APAC leads the regional strategic initiatives and drive category growth within APAC. S/her will manage product portfolios, sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and implementing effective marketing and sales strategies.
The person’s ability to build rapport quickly and leverage working relationships and to represent the strategic intent of the Company across teams will be critical for success in this role.
What you'll be doing in this role:
Strategic Responsibility for Category Growth:
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve sustainable growth and market leadership within designated categories.
• Identify market trends, consumer insights, and competitive dynamics to capitalize on growth opportunities.
Strategic Localized Product Management:
• Manage product lifecycle from inception through to market launch and ongoing management.
• Collaborate with global teams to localize product offerings that resonate with regional markets.
Local Sourcing:
• Establish and maintain relationships with local suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and continuity of supply.
• Negotiate terms and agreements that support business objectives and minimize risk.
Supplier Management:
• Oversee supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost management.
• Implement strategies to optimize supplier partnerships and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
Localized Marketing of Product Ranges/Tools:
• Develop and execute localized marketing strategies to drive awareness, engagement, and sales.
• Coordinate with markets and function teams to create compelling campaigns tailored to regional preferences.
Training for Sales Teams:
• Provide training and support to sales teams on product knowledge, selling techniques, and market positioning.
• Equip sales teams with the tools and resources necessary to achieve sales targets.
Digital Marketing Plans:
• Partner with Market and Digital teams to development and implement comprehensive digital marketing plans to enhance brand visibility and drive online sales.
• Utilize analytics and market insights to optimize digital campaigns and improve ROI.
Stocking Plans:
• Partner with Market and Inventory teams to develop stocking strategies aligned with demand forecasts, seasonal trends, and market dynamics.
• Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs.
Competitive Pricing Plans:
• Partner with Market and Pricing teams to develop competitive pricing strategies based on market analysis, cost structures, and value propositions.
• Monitor pricing trends and adjust strategies to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
Competitor Intelligence:
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
• Use insights to refine product positioning, marketing strategies, and overall business tactics.
Focused Segment Plans:
• Develop and execute segment-specific strategies to target key customer groups and market segments.
• Customize product offerings and marketing messages to meet the unique needs of each segment.
