The role will manage the sourcing of Core and NCO (Non-Core Offer) products and services, through best-in-class sourcing practices, strong commercial effectiveness, and positive/collaborative working relationships with both external vendors and internal stakeholder.
What you will be doing...
- Manage the sourcing and procurement of Core and NCO articles and services to provide the required level of profitability and service to support fulfilment of our sales and customer strategy.
- Apply commercial acumen to determine appropriate response to NCO enquiries.
- Create and maintain accurate NCO article data.
- Drive improved and increased efficiency of our NCO processes through application of CI based approach.
- Develop strong vendor relationships and manage stakeholders to ensure integration with the business area.
- Negotiate with vendors on product commercial terms and service scope of work
- Carry out procurement of NCO articles and services as per company policy and procedures using the ERP system.
- Where and when appropriate, drive Vendor delivery performance and resolve non-conformance issues enabling efficiency of Inbound Logistics processes.
- Collaborate with relevant Sales & Market teams to interpret requirements and enable a profitable NCO response.
- Identify and onboard new vendors to support NCO article sourcing needs.
- Maintain effective communications of sourcing and supplier delivery updates to internal stakeholders including Sales, Finance and Logistics teams
- Ensure adherence to the RS Group/APAC None-Core Policy to mitigate risk
Requirements:
- Min 2 years experience in supplier management, strategic sourcing, or procurement roles.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favourable terms and cost savings.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
