Maintenance Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Coordinator’s prime responsibility is to provide support to our customer in relation to day-to-day MRO products and services. Utilizing the customer and RS ERP systems, this role will support, expedite, and provide technical assistance for RS’ core products & services, including sourcing and PO placement as needed.
SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri | 8am - 5pm
COMPENSATION: $21 - $24 per hour
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivery of customer contractual commitments
- Manage specific storeroom activities to assist the procurement and operations team as identified by the site manager:
- New Part Adds
- Rush Order Delivery Expedites
- Receiving Support
- Functional Equivalent Form Management
- Freight Discrepancy Management
- Repair Program
- Continuous Improvement Projects
- NMI Resolution
- Returns to Vendor
- Assist procurement in sourcing of products as needed
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding company products and services
- Check the availability of stock
- Place and expedite purchase orders for stock and non-stock items to support urgent requests from the customer
- Complete and monitor reports including procurement and supplier performance metrics
- Participate in special projects as directed, including process improvement teams
- Assist in identification, sourcing and procurement of MRO requirements (Core product areas) on behalf of the customer
- Identify, implement, and manage opportunities for Continuous Improvement by working with customer engineering, purchasing, and production teams
- Provide IDR support
- Use the RS Preferred Supplier Program and approved suppliers to ensure delivery of cost savings and assist procurement in the supplier relationship to deliver highest levels of service and availability
- Expedite and manage new and outstanding orders to achieve delivery performance to the agreed due date; ensure regular communication with customer stakeholders
- Monitor, be responsible for, and promote health and safety within the site operation, ensuring adherence to RS Integrated Supply and the Customer’s Health & Safety Policy at all times

- Strong computer literacy skills – Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Inventory Management Systems
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
- Knowledge of industrial consumables/MRO market and products and their applications
- Strong sales and customer relationship development skills
- Negotiation skills at multiple levels within the customer and the supplier organizations
- Recording and maximizing cost savings to mutual benefit
- Ability to prepare and deliver basic reports to illustrate evolution of customer-specific KPIs
- Embrace RS Integrated Supply’s initiatives and assist with the change management process when needed
- Ability to work within projects that result in new business opportunities and/or increase customer retention
