The RS Account (Field Sales) Manager is responsible for optimizing sales revenue from a designated "Account Portfolio" by serving as the primary point of contact for customers and building effective relationships with high-opportunity accounts to understand their current and future needs, drive significant incremental sales, and identify and support other growth opportunities within the territory in coordination with the wider sales and marketing teams.

Here is more about what you will be doing...

  • Deliver the Portfolio Sales Plan in conjunction with local and national strategies while exceeding targets within budget. Work closely with other team partner to drive sales initiatives. 

  • Priorize the sales activities ahead which including call plan, visit, roadshows/ expos etcEnsure customer segmentation and geography is managed, maintained and covered on a rotation basis.

  • Building a detailed understanding of the customers, markets, and competitors and maintain and upkeep accurate customer records.

  • Create and nurture professional working partnerships with both internal & external network 

  • Develop knowledge of RS’s product ranges, technologies, sales practices and procedures and value added services

 

What do I need to be successful?

  • Relevant Technical experience/qualification and/or sales experience within a technical HSL High service level business to business environment

  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently in a remote areas and able work on own initiative

  • Results driven, with focus on profit margin

  • Commercial awareness, particularly around cost of acquisition/profitability and procurement trends

  • Proficient in sales and negotiation techniques

  • Familiar with store and supply agreement/contract experience 

  • The ability to cross reference products using specifications and technical parameters

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong planning, prioritisation and time management skills

  • Able to builds positive relationships both internally and externally at all levels, driven to achieve high performance

  • IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and experience of using a CRM(SAP)
