About the role

Role Purpose

The Credit and Master Data Agent plays a crucial role in managing credit processes and maintaining accurate master data records within the finance department. This position involves evaluating credit applications, setting credit limits, monitoring credit accounts, and ensuring data integrity in master data systems. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of credit principles and master data management.

 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate credit applications and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
  • Establish and adjust credit limits based on credit analysis and company policies.
  • Monitor and analyze credit accounts to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Review and maintain accurate customer master data records in ERP or CRM systems.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate credit decisions and recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and customer service teams to resolve credit-related issues.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and updates of credit and master data to reflect changes in customer status or business conditions.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on credit and master data activities as required.
  • Support audits and internal controls related to credit and master data management.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Credit Analyst, Credit Coordinator, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of credit principles, credit risk assessment, and credit management practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written in English.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and CRM software preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Understanding of master data management principles and practices is a plus.

Essential Qualifications (Must be evidenced at offer stage)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
