Are you passionate about technology and solving complex engineering challenges? We are looking for an experienced Application Engineer to become a trusted technical advisor to our customers and internal teams.

In this role, you will combine your technical expertise with customer engagement skills to help customers identify the right solutions, overcome application challenges, and unlock the full value of our product portfolio. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Business Development teams, you will play a key role in influencing technical decisions, driving specification opportunities, and contributing directly to business growth.

Here Is More About What You Will Be Doing...

Provide technical application knowledge and support across strategic product offerings
Support customers with product selection, application, implementation, usage, functionality, quality requirements, and training to ensure successful adoption of solutions.
Attend customer sites when required to understand application requirements, identify challenges, and recommend suitable solutions from the product portfolio.
Handle technical enquiries professionally through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Supplier, and Business Development teams to support technical sales strategies and drive business growth.
Provide technical guidance and industry insights to support customer engagements, specification opportunities, design-in activities, and project development.
Conduct product and category training sessions for internal sales teams and customers to enhance product knowledge and solution-selling capabilities.
Assist in responding to RFQs, conducting product demonstrations, delivering customer training, and supporting industry trade shows and technical events.
Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to provide value-added engineering advice, proof-of-concept activities, product verification, and technical assessments.

What existing skills and experience will you need to be successful in this opportunity

Diploma or Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
At least 5 years of experience in an Application Engineering role or within the Electronics, Industrial, Engineering, or Technical Distribution sectors.
Strong technical capability with the ability to analyse customer requirements and recommend practical, value-driven solutions.
Experience supporting business growth through technical sales, customer engagement, project development, and specification activities.\
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience conducting customer site visits and providing on-site technical support.
A proven track record of influencing specifications, design-in opportunities, and engineering projects.
Experience supporting proof-of-concept activities, product verification, testing, or technical evaluations.
Hands-on knowledge of Single Board Computers (SBCs), Test & Measurement equipment, and/or Telemecanique Sensors.
Understanding of industrial automation, electronics, electrical, or mechanical applications.
Multilingual communication skills and proficiency in local languages.
