Project Purchaser

This is a temporary role for approximately 12 months for Elfa Distrelec (part of RS Group).

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, which involves a combination of working from one of our offices in Stockholm or Oslo and also remotely.

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Project Purchaser to play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Service+ products. As the central point of contact, you will lead the negotiation, purchasing, and management of non-stocked items, ensuring seamless coordination across the business. Your expertise will be essential in managing product data, raising and dispatching purchase orders, and training our sales team on effective pricing strategies. What You’ll Be Doing:
You will oversee the implementation of special agreements, including pricing, delivery terms, and rebates, while maintaining comprehensive documentation of Service+ activities and commercial guidelines.

You will be responsible for training sales colleagues on both the system and commercial best practices, acting as the primary point of contact for any Service+ inquiries.

You will be creating and updating product master data in the ERP system, placing and expediting purchase orders, and ensuring timely deliveries that align with customer expectations. You’ll also coordinate any special shipping or handling requirements, including vendor drop shipments and scheduled orders.

Additionally, you will manage inventory levels of non-stocked products in line with business policies, collaborate with purchasing to streamline lead times and delivery terms, and work closely with Category Management to minimize any excess inventory.

Finally, you’ll be responsible for coordinating special price agreements for project business, including handling ship and debit deals, rebates, and creating requests for quotes (RFQs).

If you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you:

• Strong proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, with SAP experience being ideal.
• Proven experience working in a B2B environment, in sales or purchasing.
• Skilled and experienced in negotiations, with a strong understanding of bid and tender management processes.
• Process-oriented, with a keen eye for detail and efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
