What you will enjoy doing to be successful in this role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be identifying and securing new business opportunities that enhance our PPE product range and expand our customer account portfolio. You will actively engage in business development activities, crafting and executing strategic plans that align with the needs of local stakeholders and deliver profitable growth, customer acquisition, and a strong return on investment.
You will build and maintain long-term relationships with key senior-level decision makers ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction across targeted accounts — including major strategic customers. You will create demand for our products and services by raising their profile and proactively identifying and closing new sales and supplier opportunities.
In this role, you’ll focus on hunting new customer targets within a specific vertical market sector, leveraging competitor insights and research from your team. You will collaborate within a matrix sales organisation, partnering closely with Regional, Internal, and Value Added Sales teams to secure high-value customer agreements and maximise commercial impact.
You will also support supplier administration tasks by tracking stock, purchases, and planning in collaboration with the business unit manager. Strategic planning will be a key part of your success, as you develop business plans rooted in local market trends and focused on high-potential industry verticals.
You will use your commercial acumen to drive growth in revenue, product margin, and customer count, while developing and maintaining great relationships with both customers and PPE suppliers. You’ll communicate progress regularly to stakeholders, identify new growth opportunities, support online customer experiences, and help increase satisfaction (CsAT) ratings.
In addition, you will help design targeted marketing campaigns, ensure accurate data recording, and continuously learn and adapt in a fast-evolving industry to deliver exceptional results.
If you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you:
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or product management
- Commercial mindset with solid influencing and communication skills
- Positive, results-driven attitude and ability to take ownership
- Comfortable working in cross-functional and matrix environments
- Familiarity with PPE products and market trends is a plus
- Skilled at building relationships with both customers and suppliers
- Confident using digital tools and tracking performance metrics
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification
