Join our high-performing Finance team as Finance Manager DACH! In this pivotal role, you will support financial initiatives, foster innovation, and drive finance excellence. You will provide valuable insights into performance, assist in the strategic direction of the market, and collaborate with partners to drive commercial value while ensuring compliance with financial regulations. What You’ll Be Doing:

 

  • Support Business Decisions: Utilize data to identify trends and performance opportunities as well as undesired developments and potential risks across customer types and sales categories. Proactively encourage market teams to leverage this analysis for informed decision-making. Act as the focal point for performance management, covering sales, gross margin, and operating costs.

 

  • Provide Strategic Insights: Offer commercial finance input to align forecasts with the Group’s objectives. Assess customer and commercial plans to ensure they support the overall business strategy while maintaining a commercial mindset in decision-making.

 

  • Perform Budgeting and Forecasts: Translate business and functional objectives into robust financial plans and KPIs, ensuring clarity and relevance in all management information as well as fulfilment of the Group Finance requirements. Support the preparation of the 5-Year-Plan.

 

  • Monitor Performance: Oversee actual performance against budget, previous forecast, and prior periods, creating analyses and delivering accurate and insightful commentary, including risk and opportunities analysis and root cause assessments for key variances.

 

  • Enhance Local Finance Reporting: Develop and enhance further tailored reports and management information for the DACH market that support strong business performance and adhere to Group submission deadlines.

 

  • Support Projects: Provide financial support to M&A and other projects, programs or activities including preparation of business cases and investment proposals.

 

  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Work closely with finance peers to share best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team, while actively managing your own development.

 

About You:

  • University degree in Business Administration/ Economics with a focus on finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in FP&A/ Controlling/ Commercial Finance with a strong emphasis on finance business partnering.
  • Commercial acumen, with a proven ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that drive commercial success.
  • Strong financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting skills, with the ability to analyse data and situations quickly from different perspectives and translate complex financial information into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Wider experience in building and maintaining business financial reporting.
  • Proficient in standard financial software & tools (e.g., ERP systems, Data Warehouses, Excel, PPT) and familiarity with analytics platforms and technologies.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement within matrix structures, adept at managing relationships with various stakeholders at different levels.
  • Proactive team player, enthusiastic and collaborative in approach, with a “can do” attitude and open mind, who is able to work effectively in an agile environment at pace.
  • Fluency in English and strong spoken and written German skills.
