About the Role
The Pricing Manager role sits within the Margin Management organization, a core commercial function responsible for protecting margin, enabling competitive positioning, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of cost and pricing data across the Americas. The team operates at the center of supplier cost changes, public online pricing, customer specific pricing arrangements, and commercial decision making—making it a high impact area with direct visibility to leadership.

Role Purpose
The Pricing Manager leads the execution and continuous improvement of pricing strategies across a large, complex industrial distribution portfolio. This role is responsible for guiding a team of Pricing Analysts and a Pricing Technology Senior Analyst to deliver competitive, accurate, and scalable pricing across millions of products, balancing market competitiveness with margin optimization. The role works with Finance, Product Management, Sales, IT systems, and commercial execution—driving both day-to-day pricing outcomes and the evolution toward more mature, analytics-driven pricing capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 3 Pricing Analysts and 1 Pricing Technology Senior Analyst, setting priorities, coaching performance, and ensuring high-quality output
- Oversee pricing execution processes including competitor benchmarking, cost-plus pricing, and supplier-guided pricing updates
- Ensure pricing accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across a large SKU catalog and online channels
- Establish and enforce pricing governance, policies, and approval frameworks
- Partner with commercial, product, and supply chain teams to align pricing decisions with business strategy
- Drive continuous improvement in pricing processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and scalability
- Own pricing performance tracking, including margin, price realization, and competitive positioning metrics
- Collaborate with the Pricing Technology Senior Analyst to prioritize system enhancements, manage backlog, and improve pricing platform capabilities
- Translate business needs into clear requirements for pricing tools and analytics improvements
- Monitor market trends and competitor pricing behavior to inform pricing strategies
- Support escalation handling for complex or high-impact pricing decisions
- Ensure strong data quality and integrity across pricing, cost, and margin inputs
- Contribute to the pricing roadmap, helping transition the organization toward more advanced pricing maturity

Candidate Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in pricing, commercial analytics, or finance within a distribution, manufacturing, or B2B environment
- Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams
- Deep analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Experience with pricing methodologies including competitor benchmarking, cost-plus pricing, and margin-based pricing
- Strong understanding of large-scale pricing execution in high-SKU environments
- Experience working with pricing systems, data platforms, and analytics tools
- Advanced Excel and data manipulation capabilities; ability to work with large datasets
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous challenges
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across ongoing operations and project-based work
- Strong focus on data quality, process rigor, and operational execution
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in industrial distribution or similar high-SKU, e-commerce-enabled environments
- Familiarity with pricing optimization or management tools (e.g., Vendavo, Zilliant, Pricefx)
- Experience working with pricing technology roadmaps or system implementations
- Knowledge of quote-to-cash processes and sales pricing dynamics
- Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI
- Exposure to SQL, Python, or other data tools for deeper analysis
- Experience working in a semi-mature or transforming pricing organization
- Demonstrated experience driving process standardization and automation
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- 5–8+ years of experience in pricing, analytics, or commercial roles
- 2–4+ years of people management or team leadership experience
- Experience operating in a data-rich, fast-paced environment with large product catalogs
- Proven track record of improving pricing processes, margin performance, or pricing capabilities
