AI Guidance (en_US)

Guidance of the use of AI

At RS Group, we embrace innovation, and we understand that Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be a useful tool in the job application process. However, we also value authenticity and want to get to know the real you, your experiences, skills, and individual perspectives.
To help you use AI responsibly when you apply to RS Group, we’ve outlined some best practices and some things to avoid.

Best Practice:
You are welcome to use AI as a writing assistant to help structure and articulate your CV/Resume. Some ways you can use AI effectively include:

  • Refining your writing – Draft your own thoughts first, then use AI to improve clarity and phrasing. Use AI for guidance on CV/Resume structure but the content must only be your experiences and skills.
  • Checking grammar and tone – AI can help polish your writing so it’s more professional and well-structured.
  • Use AI to research and gain company insights.
  • For interview preparation, you can use AI to understand potential or usual questions you may get asked or understand interview structures.

When not to use AI
We want to see your real skills, experiences, and personality, we recommend that you:

  • Do not use AI to generate fictional experiences or skills. Your application should reflect your true abilities and background.
  • Avoid copying and pasting AI-generated responses directly into your application. These responses often sound generic and won’t make you stand out.
  • You should be able to recall everything from your application. If you use AI heavily, you may struggle to answer follow-up questions in interviews.
  • Do not use AI to support any online tests or any other form of assessment.
  • Do not use AI to record online screening calls or interviews (e.g. AI-generated scripts or real-time assistance).
  • Do not use AI during the interview process. If you are reading AI prompts during an interview, you will not present your authentic self, and this could be detrimental to your performance on the day.

Remember, we want to get to know YOU!

We encourage candidates to use AI as a supportive tool, not a shortcut. AI can help you refine and clarify your own ideas but not create an application, or answer interview questions for you.

The best way to stand out? Be yourself; your skills and experiences are valuable so present them with confidence.

Good luck with your application!
