This role will be positioned within the Information Security team, working for the Information Security Awareness, Engagement and Culture lead. The Information Security team are responsible for keeping the organization safe through controls such as technology, people, and processes.  Key to this is the management of Risk.

 

About the Role

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of the organisation’s Information Security Awareness, Engagement, and Culture programme. The role helps create and share clear, engaging content that drives positive security behaviours across the business. Working closely with the Information Security Awareness Engagement and Culture Lead, this role supports awareness campaigns, simulated phishing activities, internal communications, and the Security Champions network to help strengthen the overall security culture.

 

Responsibilities

Awareness Content & Campaign Support

  • Assist in creating engaging security awareness content, including short articles, videos, and infographics
  • Supporting the Infosec awareness engagement culture lead on campaign support.
  • Help tailor content for different audiences across the business, ensuring messages are clear and easy to understand.
  • Support the planning and delivery of awareness campaigns such as themed months, weekly tips, and targeted behaviour change initiatives.
  • Support Information Security awareness engagement culture lead with security communications for internal channels (Intranet, Viva, Teams, email)
  • Help maintain the security awareness pages on the Intranet, ensuring content is current and relevant.
  • Help with admin tasks such as maintaining content calendars, tracking tasks, and organising shared documents.

 

Simulated Phishing Support

  • Assist with scheduling, setting up, and delivering simulated phishing campaigns.
  • Help track phishing results, gather basic insights, and support follow up awareness messaging.
  • Maintain logs and documentation related to phishing activities and outcomes.

Security Champions Network Support

  • Assist in coordinating activities for the Security Champions network.
  • Help create and share content for Security Champions to use locally (e.g., slides, talking points, monthly packs).
  • Track Champion participation and help maintain the Champions directory and materials.

The candidate will help employees stay secure by producing clear, simple, and engaging security awareness content. They will support behaviour change across the organisation by assisting with targeted campaigns, internal communications, and simulated phishing activities. They will contribute to a strong security culture by helping coordinate and support our Security Champions network. They will ensure that awareness materials and channels (including the intranet, Teams, and Viva) are kept up to date, relevant, and easy for employees to access.

They will also help the team operate efficiently by maintaining logs, calendars, and documentation that support the smooth delivery of the awareness programme.

 

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain information simply and clearly.
  • Basic understanding of cyber security concepts or a strong interest in learning about security awareness.
  • Ability to create or support simple content (e.g., posts, short articles, basic visuals, messages).
  • Confident using digital platforms such as the Intranet, Teams, Viva Engage/Yammer, and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Basic content creation skills (e.g., using Canva, PowerPoint, or simple video tools).
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks, update logs, and maintain structured documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and respond positively to feedback.
  • Attention to detail when preparing communications or updating information assets.

 

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting communications, marketing, internal engagement, or learning content.
  • Familiarity with simulated phishing platforms or experience participating in awareness campaigns.
  • Basic content creation skills (e.g., using Canva, PowerPoint, or simple video tools).
  • Understanding of behavior change principles or human risk concepts.
  • Experience working with or supporting a Champions/advocacy network.
  • Interest in creative thinking, storytelling, or visual design to improve awareness engagement.
  • Ability to speak a second language; multilingual candidates desirable for supporting global audiences.
  • Confidence in public speaking or presenting to small groups (e.g., Security Champions, team briefings).
