Key Account Manager

Location: This role is offered on a hybrid basis, which involves a combination of working field-based in the North West Territory of the UK.

The Opportunity

As a Key Account Manager you’ll be the strategic lead for a portfolio of high-value customers within RS Safety Solutions Your mission? To grow RS’s share of wallet year-on-year by deeply understanding your customers’ challenges and aligning our solutions to help them thrive.

This is a consultative sales role that requires a deep understanding of customer operations, change management, and value-based selling. You’ll be the face of RS to your accounts — and the voice of your customers within RS.


 

What You’ll Do

  • Own and grow a portfolio accounts across your specific Territory.
  • Build deep, strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify customer pain points and align RS’s full suite of MRO solutions to deliver measurable value.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across the wider RS sales organisation to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Use Salesforce to manage pipeline and Power BI to identify trends, opportunities, and performance insights.
  • Drive customer retention, revenue growth, and gross margin improvement.
  • Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor to your customers and internal teams.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience of B2B sales or account management experience.
  • Experience in within a similar industry or within FMCG is desirable.
  • A consultative, customer-first mindset with a passion for solving complex problems.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to navigate long sales cycles.
  • A collaborative, professional approach with the ability to lead without direct authority.
  • Self-motivation, resilience, and a values-driven mindset.
