Technical Sales & Product Support Agent

About the role:
As a Technical Sales & Product Support Agent you will be working closely with both our internal and external Customers to create value by offering the best in class, in-depth product support. You will be required to have strong electrical component knowledge background and fantastic Customer Service skills.
You will be required to work closely with our Sales & Customer Service Teams to assist in understanding and meeting the needs of our customer and offering a best-in-class Customer experience.
Key accountabilities:
- Drive the technical capability journey of our business by delivering product and application support to our customers via phone, E-Mail & Live Chat.
- Help maintain a good team and working environment through assisting fellow team members, particularly in relation to technical matters.
- Provide product support and coaching to our RS Local & Customer Service staff to assist in the resolution of Technical Queries
- Matching stock numbers to bill of materials to secure the sale
- Using an in‐depth understanding of the company’s strategy, value proposition and strengths to position RS in the market as the supplier of choice
- Identify suitable alternatives products for customers and staff to maximize revenue opportunities and improve customer experience.
- Identify omissions and errors in product support criteria, data sheets & any other information sheets
- To assist with the investigation of faulty or damaged returns and support the returns department in a timely manner
- Development of collaborative relationships with both suppliers and relevant stakeholders in our customers
- Drive the technical capability journey of our business by delivering product and application support
- Continuously innovate so RS is viewed as a leader in technology such as IOT and 3D Printing etc.
- Building productive relationships Marketing & Product Management departments
- Actively involved with STEM and School enquiries
What we’re looking for:
- Professional in nature
- Excellent PC Skills
- Electrical qualification or experience within an electrical technical support role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all channels
- Self-motivated and Customer focused, understanding the needs of providing high levels of Customer service and satisfaction
