Position Overview

Elevate your career as a Key Account Manager (KAM) at RS Ireland, a leading industrial and electronics distributor based in Ireland. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of a strategic geographical territory encompassing numerous accounts, with a primary focus on cultivating relationships with high-potential customers.

At RS Ireland you will navigate and lead a dynamic territory, strategically developing relationships with a diverse customer base. Your focus will be on identifying and nurturing high-potential accounts to drive sustainable growth.

 

Working closely with the Internal Key Account Manager (IKAM) your role will involve the adept management of customer relationships, converting leads into profitable sales orders, and maximising future business opportunities.

 

You will be responsible for driving and optimising sales growth in your designated territory, where you are expected to reside, developing your account base through effective account management maximising available working time with customer-facing sales visits.

 

Skills required.

 

  • Previous experience as Key Account Manager or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with capacity to present at board level when required.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise activities based on best return on investment.
  • Time management and planning skills.
  • Self-motivated while able to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
