Product Owner -Personalisation

About the role

The purpose of this role is to build a world class Onsite experience that speaks to and with the customer – using data to put the right product in front of the right customer at the right time as part of a personalised journey.

 

This is a strategic role, intended to push the Personalisation programme beyond product recommendations and into ‘Sales through Service’ by upselling the customer into My Account journeys through compelling, relevant features and functionality in the Homepage and beyond.

 

What we are looking for

  • Managing and driving the Personalisation strategy for customer Loyalty & Retention with the Homepage as a key driver, advocating for automation, scalability and flexibility across 32 markets
  • Creating and developing ways to accelerate the customer journey and upsell them to My Account as part of the ‘Sales through Service’ strategy
  • Aligning with our product recommendations programme (particularly User Tracking), and baking learnings and testing opportunities into your overall plan on an ongoing basis
  • Prioritising and maintaining a backlog in-line with our business KPIs, re-prioritising and re-scoping as required
  • Developing the roadmap for Personalisation Loyalty & Retention (inc. Homepage real-estate), researching, benchmarking and creating benefits use-cases on a quarterly basis, supported by forecasting
  • Delivering impact through iterative Agile releases, supported by testing and optimisation strategies
  • Championing the business value of Personalisation and technical activities on the basis of robust data up to C-level
  • Collaborating with a wide range of internal stakeholders, including Analytics, Engineering, Architecture, UX, Local Marketing, Digital Marketing, Supplier Trading and other Product Owners
  • Representing the Personalisation programme to external partners, including a direct relationship with a Digital Marketing + Data agency (DMPG)
  • Regularly reporting on the outcomes of the programme, using analytics dashboards and customer feedback

 

Skills/Knowledge

Essential

  • Proven experience in managing customer-facing products end-to-end though the product lifecycle, from conception to launch, with measurable success against core KPIs
  • Experience with subscription-based experiences across any industry
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to share the right level of detail with the right audience - e.g. senior leadership team, technical teams, commercial teams, customers
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment, in close collaboration with engineers, researchers, designers and analytics
  • A demonstrable appetite for problem-solving, with the ability to think laterally and creatively to find solutions for the customer
  • A data-driven mindset, with experience deep diving different forms of data to unearth actionable insights
  • Technical understanding and hands-on experience in software development and web technologies (e.g. React frameworks)
