Infrastructure & Networks Manager - RS EMEA & APAC
Location: Remote
RS Components is seeking an Infrastructure & Networks Manager for a permanent position. This role is responsible for management and support of all our Network and Core Infrastructure globally. The support includes the provision, design, deployment and management of our network and core infrastructure at our sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all our Network and Core Infrastructure services across our RS EMEA and APAC regions.
- Provide input into the life cycling and technical roadmap for our Network and Core Infrastructure services across our RS EMEA and APAC regions.
- Escalation for Network and Core Infrastructure services issues within their area.
- Engagement and relationship management with business and service key stakeholders.
- Support Vendor Service Reviews for the services within this role.
- Review and report on the services with business stakeholders.
- Mentoring, developing and coaching of their staff.
- Support the financial management of the Network and Core Infrastructure services
- Make recommendations for service improvement plans and ensure actions are followed through to completion in a timely manner.
- Support and lead critical service issues and incidents for the areas they manage.
- Stakeholder management of service owners.
- Vendor management for the services this role is accountable
- Provide regular and accurate management reporting on the Network and Core Infrastructure services.
- Ensuring that the demand process is followed to allocate resources needed to deliver the agreed initiatives prioritised within the Keep the Lights and Strategic portfolios.
- Attending Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings as required and assessing requests for change for their impact on availability.
- Relationship management across all the teams within IS&T, HR, Finance and our key business functions who own and use the applications supported by the IT Support and Operations function.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have experience in building and leading a high-performing team to support core services, while effectively managing relationships with key vendors. They will also excel in collaborating closely with business functions to ensure seamless alignment of services with business processes, consistently meeting established service levels and support standards.
What you will need:
- Clear Understanding on ITIL principles.
- Experience supporting network and core infrastructure teams.
- Solid understanding of Incident, Problem, Change and Release management processes.
- Management of budgets in excessive of £1M and experience of managing to budget and evidence of driving successful cost savings initiatives.
- Ability to maintain clear and focused thinking under stressful/high pressure situations.
- Good line management skills including excellent experience of developing and coaching high performing teams.
- Experience of managing in-house and outsourced support teams.
- Ability to translate technical information into business terminology to ensure the business are clear on the technical impact of any application issues to their operations.
- Stakeholder management across all levels within our organisation including to board level.
- Good vendor management capabilities, this includes the ability to define and manage suppliers to contractual obligations and SLAs.
- Strong verbal, written communication skills.
- Good decision-making skills especially under high pressure situations such as incidents.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- ITIL Practioner

- ITIL Foundation.
