Location: This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of being able to work remotely and from either our Corby office (NN17 5JF), Manchester office (M2 3AA) or London office (N1C 4AG)
The Opportunity:
RS PRO is entering its next decade of growth, and to unlock this potential we must evolve the systems, processes, and ways of working that underpin how we operate. The Growth Operations Lead is a pivotal role designed to strengthen these foundations and enable the RS PRO organisation to scale with speed, clarity, and precision.
Working across our four Commercial Growth pillars: Sourcing, Business Development, Digital Propositions, and Data & Insights, the Growth Operations Lead drives operational excellence, data-led decision-making, and a test‑and‑learn mindset across the business. They connect teams, simplify workflows, and embed tools and automations that remove friction and elevate the impact of our people.
This role builds a holistic, end-to-end view of growth opportunities across RS PRO and transforms how we identify, test, and execute against them. By shaping our experimentation strategy, evolving our data ecosystem, and accelerating adoption of AI and automation, the Growth Operations Lead plays a critical role in enabling PRO’s long-term strategic growth ambitions.
What You Will Be Doing:
Cross-Pillar Collaboration & Operational Excellence
- Acting as a connector across the four Commercial Growth pillars (Sourcing, Digital Propositions, Business Development, Data & Insights)
- Act as an agent of change, redesigning core processes within the Commercial Growth functions operating procedures and workflows to improve efficiency and output quality across the team.
- Facilitate workshops, process mapping session, and cross-functional ideation to identify friction points and opportunities.
Data, Reporting & Analytics
- Support the data team in building a clear architectural view of our data landscape across Snowflake & other business tools, evolving the ecosystem to increase data quality, trust and automation.
- Work in collaboration with our data teams to drive consolidation of reports across PowerBI & legacy systems. Drive improvements to our snowflake environment, exploring further integration of group data to inform decision making.
- Help the RS PRO business get to the ‘why’ of performance, creating reporting mechanisms to link business activities to commercial outcomes, enabling clear visibility of growth drivers and informing future investments.
Growth Hypotheses & Experimentation
- Work in collaboration with our group CX accelerating function to drive creation and adoption of a set of RS PRO Growth Hypotheses, and a test and learn roadmap.
- Translate insights across the RS PRO business into structured hypotheses and experiments, ensuring clear metrics, operating procedures and statistical rigour of executed tests in collaboration with our group Experimentation Centre of Excellence.
- Support the RS PRO function in adopting a growth mindset & test and learn methodology, with documented learnings & insights to drive future growth strategy.
- Work in collaboration with our Digital Product and Merchandising teams to translate RS PRO growth opportunities into actionable roadmap items / experiments.
Tools, Automation & AI
- Own and optimise key operational tools across the RS PRO portfolio, working in collaboration with teams across the four Commercial Growth pillars & other teams within the RS PRO function.
- Drive the adoption of AI and automation tools to reduce repetitive, manual work in the RS PRO NPI and reporting lifecycle. This is an open field playground where you’ll have the opportunity to learn and develop these skills.
- Work across the Category & Sourcing teams to evolve our approach to tracking and reporting of NPI, and support in adoption and rollout of our Supplier Segmentation Model.
- Build new workflows, capabilities and tool-suites to drive daily operations of new processes with low/no-code solutions like Airtable, N8N.
Institutional Knowledge & Customer Understanding
- Develop the RS PRO institutional knowledge base, leveraging existing internal tools & group platforms to amalgamate qualitative and quantitative data to inform ideas for growth opportunities.
- Work directly with the Senior Director, Commercial Growth, to translate insights into actionable and executable opportunities across the group.
- Build relationships, ways of working and practices with broader group functions to drive understanding of RS PRO specific customer needs and considerations.
What You will Bring
- Experience in operations, strategy, process improvement, commercial enablement, or business analysis.
- Strong analytical capability with hands-on experience building dashboards and working in large enterprise datasets / data warehouse environments. (Power BI / SQL preferred).
- Confident facilitator & consultative manner, able to drive workshops, map processes, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong visual thinker, able to take complex topics of systems, processes and workflows and create clear diagrams in a simple fashion.
- Demonstrated experience building automations, systems, and workflows using tools like Airtable, N8N, etc.
- Experimentation mindset with familiarity in A/B testing or structured test-and-learn methodologies.
- Change management, strong familiarity with change management frameworks, and the importance of change discipline in driving adoption of new operational flows / ways of working.
- Confident working with stakeholders up to VP level.
