About the role

 

The Go-To-Market Programme Lead is responsible for orchestrating the planning, development, and execution of strategic initiatives across EMEA functions and markets. This cross-functional leadership role ensures alignment between product, supply chain, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to drive successful change and sustained growth. it requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in programme leadership, governance, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional delivery in global, complex, matrixed environments.

You will be customer-obsessed, with a deep understanding of the end-to-end customer journey, ensuring that every initiative delivers ROI, achieves strategic KPIs, and supports long-term business goals. You will be accountable for ensuring that every programme has a clear benefits case, measurable performance indicators, and a roadmap to value realisation.

Reporting into the Senior Director Strategy Delivery and will be part of the Strategy Delivery Leadership Team, requiring a passionate and driven commercial and change leader who can influence, drive, and embed change across the region. Key objectives include:

  1. Deliver strategic initiatives aligned with business goals and measurable outcomes.
  2. Establish and maintain robust programme governance and performance tracking.
  3. Drive change adoption and benefits realisation through KPI-led execution.
  4. Support strategic portfolio planning, prioritisation, and business case development with ROI at the core.
  5. Continuously improve delivery practices to maximise efficiency and impact.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Programme Leadership:
    • Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic pillars ensuring alignment with strategic outcomes and KPIs.
    • Empower, inspire, and facilitate the work of cross-functional teams setting clear OKRs, plans and managing day-to-day delivery.
    • Provide guidance, support and coaching to team members in strategy deployment and execution
  • Lead discussions with senior leaders to clearly define requirements, i.e., vision, outcomes, metrics, support and delivery requirements.

 

  1. Value Realisation and ROI:
  • Define and track KPIs and performance metrics to measure programme success.
  • Ensure benefits realisation through rigorous planning, execution, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Develop ROI models and dashboards to monitor financial and strategic returns.
  • Identify opportunities to exploit new technologies and capabilities for accelerated value creation.

 

  1. Strategic Planning:
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable programme plans with clear KPIs.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and resource requirements to optimise ROI.
  • Oversee execution to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery with measurable impact.
  • Develop strong understanding of relevant business functions, direction, organisational structure. and overall business goals.

 

  1. Change Management:
    • Drive change initiatives with effective communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Ensure adoption across impacted teams and functions, tracked via adoption KPIs.

 

  1. Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to determine key actions, outcomes, and success measures required to meet strategic objectives.
    • Influence decision-making and secure senior leader buy-in for strategic initiatives and investment cases.
    • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement among team members involved in strategy execution.

 

  1. Governance & Reporting:
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks including:
    • Steering committees
    • Risk and financial management.
    • Executive-level reporting with KPI scorecards and ROI tracking.
  • Lead and participate in developing, maintaining, and evolving standards.

Candidate Requirements

 

Required Experience & Skills:

 

  • Proven record of delivering large-scale, strategic programmes and initiatives in global, complex, matrixed organisations resulting in successful outcomes and benefits.
  • Demonstrable programme management experience; budgetary and benefits management of >£10m
  • Experience in delivering change across commercial functions with a focus on customer in sales, service, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Strong understanding of programme governance, risk management, and business transformation.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including C-suite interaction.
  • Evidence of successful coaching and development of high-performance teams and individuals
  • Desirable experience leading complex M&A integrations across geographies and functions, with success in achieving synergy targets.
  • Experience with tools and techniques used to visualise strategic alignment and benefits realisation (e.g., Hoshin Kanri, Value Tree, Benefits Mapping, Business Case creation).
  • Proficiency in Project Portfolio Management (PPM) methodologies and tools.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MSP Practitioner, APM PPQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PROSCI Practitioner)
