Credit Controller for Scandinavia

Accounts Receivable - Credit Controller with Danish or Swedish or Norwegian 

This role is a temporary role for a period of 6 months with the potential for extension.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Credit Controller to join our team and take responsibility for managing outstanding debts across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. The main focus of the role is to ensure that debts are collected in accordance with the company’s credit terms, while efficiently handling any customer disputes.

As part of a close-knit team of four Credit Controllers, you will play a key role in maintaining smooth financial operations and ensuring timely payments. Fluency in English and at least one of the following Scandinavian languages: Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian is essential. Previous experience in credit control is a plus but not a requirement.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Proactively managing and collecting outstanding debt on allocated accounts through phone calls and written communication, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate record-keeping.
• Responding quickly and thoroughly to customer and internal queries, providing exceptional service and resolving issues effectively.
• Making follow-up calls to ensure all queries are addressed and debts are settled efficiently.
• Advising on problem accounts and escalating as needed to the Accounts Receivable Team Manager and Head of Finance.
• Monitoring and managing customer credit limits, ensuring adherence to company credit policies.
• Referring accounts to legal teams or debt collection agencies when necessary and handling any related issues.
• Analysing credit ratings from online agencies to set appropriate credit limits for new accounts.
• Assisting with general administrative tasks and providing ad-hoc support as needed by the Accounts Receivable Team Manager.

• Fluent in English and in one of the Scandinavian languages (Danish or Norwegian or Swedish)
• Highly motivated and target driven
• Able to thrive in a fast paced, complex, and high-volume role

• Able to maintain documentation & controls so that there are no major issues during audit
