RS IN THE DACH REGION

RS is a trading brand of RS Group plc, a global distributor for customers and suppliers involved in the design, construction or maintenance of industrial plant and equipment.

We are represented in 32 countries and offer over 860,000 items to more than 91,000 active customers in Germany.

The DACH region, consisting of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, has almost 700 employees. In Germany, we serve our customers from Frankfurt, Munich and the distribution centre in Bad Hersfeld. Customer Service and the Austrian sales organisation are based in Gmünd. The sales organisation in Switzerland is based in Wädenswil.

In Bad Hersfeld, we have created one of the world's largest RS distribution centres in the course of a comprehensive expansion of the existing warehouse. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and highly automated. In particular, the largest so-called multi-shuttle system from the manufacturer Dematic installed in Germany is used here. A short video illustrates the dimensions of the project.
