About the role 


Technical support is a key differentiator for RS Components in Poland, as we offer a unique support to our B2B customers concerning our products. 

Do you have great technical understanding combined with an articulate service gene, and do you like to give the customer the really good experience? Are you a good colleague who helps out when the going gets tough and still keeps your spirits high? Then please read on. 

As a technical advisor at RS Components, you will be part of a well-functioning team and like your colleagues, you will put service and professional support first. You and the team will handle customer enquiries from the company's B2B customers via email, phone and live chat, so you'll be comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing.  

You have an understanding of automation, mechanics, electronics, etc., as customer technical inquiries are very diverse. 

What you will enjoy doing to be successful in this role: 

  • Supporting our customers with technical advice on telephone, e-mail and live chat. 

  • Creating contact to suppliers, RS Pro team and Product managers UK etc. for education 

  • Developing knowledge and confidence as a promoter for RS Pro in the technical and sales team – driving RS Pro growth 

  • Providing training for RS colleagues in Poland to increase knowledge and competences 

  • Support the vision and the set activities and goals – contribute with your own ideas, etc. 

  • Providing new initiatives to the department where and when required - including sales-oriented activities, marketing activities, etc. 

  • Participate in exhibitions, customer/ suppliers visits if needed 

  • Collaboration with local product & supplier manager to learn and share knowledge and best practise. 


What you will bring: 

  • Technical education in one of the ares: automation/robotics/mechatronics/electronics/electrical engineering (You might be an automation engineer, mechanical engineer, electronics technician, electrician. You have a good knowledge of pneumatics and electronics.)

  • At least one year experience in a similar role

  • Strong knowledge of Polish and English language 

  • Strong analytical capabilities – logical, structured thinking is essential 

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in relation to complex information, data and process/systems activities and analysis to guide and inform action 

  • Commercial sharpness and result oriented 

  • Cross-functional team-working and influencing
