Statutory Finance Manager

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, which involves a combination of working from our office in Warsaw and also remotely.

The Statutory Finance Manager plays a pivotal role within our EMEA Finance Control function, providing technical expertise, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening control frameworks and processes across the EMEA region.

This role holds full accountability for financial statements across multiple ‘Rest of EMEA’ (RoEMEA) countries, including Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, and Benelux, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial reporting. Additionally, the role oversees country balance sheets, cash flow forecasting, FX movements, and hedging effectiveness.

As part of a remote financial team, the Statutory Finance Manager will work in close collaboration with our Global Shared Business Services (GSBS) team, Group Finance, and senior business leaders, driving accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, and compliance excellence.

What you will be doing to be successful in this role:

To be successful in this role, you will take full ownership of financial statements across the RoEMEA region, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial governance. You will oversee month- and year-end processes, act as a second line of defence for financial controls, and drive process and system improvements to enhance efficiency.

Collaborating closely with local market leaders, you will ensure adherence to internal governance frameworks, such as Delegated Authorities and purchase order policies. You will define key financial metrics and KPIs to monitor financial health and support strategic decision-making.

Your responsibilities will also include assessing financial risks, challenging business plans that may create vulnerabilities, and providing insightful analysis on cost structures, balance sheets, and cash flow. You will lead budgeting and re-forecasting efforts related to balance sheet and cash flow management, offering expert guidance.

As a key liaison for external audits, you will work with the Finance Controller EMEA to manage statutory audits, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure a seamless transition between audit firms. You will also oversee corporate tax compliance, collaborating with external partner and preparing financial statements in-house when needed.

Additionally, you will bring expertise in technical accounting, including IFRS9 calculations, annual financial reviews, and detailed analysis of key ledgers. Beyond your core responsibilities, you will actively contribute to departmental initiatives, process improvements, and strategic finance projects that enhance operational efficiency.

If you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you:

• A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, along with a professional financial accreditation such as ACA/ACCA (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in senior financial controlling, with a strong understanding of financial governance, compliance, and risk management.
• Expertise in technical accounting, including IFRS, statutory reporting, and corporate tax compliance, with the ability to lead and educate a diverse, international team.
• Fluency in both Polish and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP) and familiarity with analytics platforms to enhance financial reporting and decision-making.
• A high level of resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail and integrity.
