Senior Accounting Specialist 

Senior Accounting Specialist is responsible for accounting for the costs and revenue in a market or function. They need to ensure that costs are accurate, and that accruals and prepayments are adequate and justified. They will work closely with Operational Accounting team on projects to develop best practise finance processes to standardise across UK, EMEA and APAC. They will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of Financial Statements and liaison with external Auditors.

Job Description

• Journal postings - ensure monthly sales and costs are accurate and complete, and that accruals and prepayments have the adequate justification and accuracy
• Preparation of Financial Statements for statutory purposes
• Support preparation of group reporting financial statements
• Liaise with Finance Business Partners to ensure that appropriate information is shared relating to actual, forecast and budget costs
• Adhere to month end deadlines to prepare and review balance sheet reconciliation
• Review and verify the accuracy of random journal vouchers, sales and purchase ledgers etc. 
• Half year and full year reporting to Group Finance
• Act as a coordinator with external auditors
• Preparation of input data for reports to GUS and NBP
• Review and prepare data pack for tax calculations (CIT, IFT, ORD-U, TP) returns in accordance with the tax regulations in coordination with Global Tax Department
• Cooperating with AP and AR departments 
• Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly sales performance reports 

What we’re looking for

Essential:

• Experience in similar role: 3+ years
• Fluent Polish and good English
• Qualified Accountant with Master University Degree in Finance & Accounting
• Experience of SAP FICO Systems
• Good knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS

Desirable:

• Strong Excel skills
