About the role

The Corporate Account Sales Manager will contribute to the profitable growth of the 'Corporate' business with a specific focus on developing existing (portfolio) customers and acquiring new business contracts.  Primary focus is on building effective relationships within account portfolio of high opportunity accounts to gain a clear understanding of current and future needs and drive significant incremental sales.

  •  Drive double digit sales growth in assigned Corporate Accounts by implementing best in class account management tools and practices.

  • Build and leverage multi-tier relationships within assigned premier accounts, ensuring easy access to key decision-makers, influencers, and end users.

  • Implement a consultative approach to understand customer business needs and pain points, frame procurement challenges, and present procurement solutions, demonstrating the long-term value of partnering with RS Group.

  • Drive for the adoption of RS Pro products and services to increase brand awareness, sales, and profitability.

  • Utilize reporting insights and customer data to forecast, identify new opportunities, review contract adoption and performance, and plan sales and business development efforts to deliver incremental growth.

  • Collaborate with Premier Customer Service, Category Management, and Supply Chain teams to exceed premier customer expectations and drive extreme customer satisfaction.

  • Work closely with Marketing Specialist to define and implement go-to-market approaches for premier customers and enhance RS branding locally.

  • Invest in gaining knowledge of RS’s product ranges, sales practices, procurement solutions, and value-added services.

  • Complete tasks assigned by the line manager and the company.

What existing skills and experience will you need to be successful in this opportunity?

 

  • 5+ years in Corporate Account Management or Strategic Business Development with a proven sales track record, preferably in the industrial sector.

  • Technical experience/qualification and/or sales experience in a high-service-level B2B environment.

  • Ability to meet KPIs and deadlines, able to work under pressure, result oriented, take accountability for own decisions and actions, problem solving skills, multi-tasking, work independently when required, and within the team environment.

  • Results-driven with a focus on profit margins.

  • Knowledge/experience of ecommerce and procurement trends.

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with deep account management experience.

  • Experience with supply agreements/contracts.

  • Ability to cross-reference products using specifications and technical parameters.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.

  • Strong planning, prioritization, and time management skills.

  • IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experienced with CRM systems.

  • Customer-focused attitude (internal and external).

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
