About the role

The opportunity for the Technical Support role involves providing expert product application solutions and professional technical support to customers. You will play a key role in enhancing the customer experience by ensuring high engagement and satisfaction.

 

Here is more about what you will be doing...

  • Provide technical support to customers by answering questions, providing product knowledge, and suggesting alternatives.

  • Quickly understand customers’ applications and identify sales opportunities to promote RS products.

  • Contribute to sales targets by closely collaborating with the sales team and performing value-added activities.

  • Assist the sales team in conducting Bill on Materials (BOM) conversions from the customer side.

  • Conduct product/application training for the sales force.

  • Recommend changes to RS product information, alternatives, and solutions for an effortless customer experience.

  • Serve as a technical advisor and subject matter expert for customers on product inquiries and troubleshooting.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service via all channels (phone and email) while ensuring service level agreements are met.

What existing skills and experience will you need to be successful in this opportunity?

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or electronic components products as an engineer or technical support.

  • Experience with MRO products, such as tools, test & measurement equipment, and automation controls. Strong knowledge of electricity.

  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and multitask effectively.

  • Strong communication skills to meet customer requirements and deepen engagement.

  • Attention to detail with a passion for investigating and resolving problems.

  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Fast learner and strong team player.

  • Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office.

 

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in a complex and dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge of e-commerce business.
