This position is part of our SAP Security & Compliance team, a dynamic group at the intersection of technology, risk, and business operations. The team plays a key role in protecting our systems by managing user access, designing roles, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvements to our security and governance processes.

 

About the Role

Role Purpose

The SAP Security Associate Analyst is responsible for administering user access, supporting security controls, and helping enforce governance processes to protect SAP systems and enable secure, efficient business operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support SAP compliance activities to ensure alignment with Group level Information Security policies.
  • Apply working knowledge of SAP systems, applications, and processes in daily tasks.
  • Assist in maintaining SAP security architecture, controls, and related documentation.
  • Help design, update, and manage user profiles, roles, and authorizations in SAP to support proper role based access control.
  • Monitor user access rights and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Support SAP Security operations using SAP GRC tools, including Access Control and Process Control.
  • Contribute to maintaining the integrity and security of global systems and networks.
  • Assist with both proactive and reactive security analysis to support ongoing security initiatives.
  • Share observations on emerging trends and help identify opportunities to improve tools, processes, and security practices.
  • Help recommend and track actions to mitigate security risks through to resolution.
  • Collaborate with the Company Security team to support compliance with PCI, NIST, and other security requirements.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining security policies and procedures in alignment with Company Information Security standards.
  • Support the creation and rollout of company wide security training materials.
  • Help compile and submit required security compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with functional business teams to support the implementation of mitigating actions and controls.
  • Partner with project teams to ensure security considerations are incorporated into project governance and delivery.
  • Coordinate with third party service providers to help ensure they meet security SLAs, KPIs, and follow required processes and standards.
  • Participate in security audits and help ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Assist with security incident handling, including gathering information for root cause analysis.
  • Support certificate lifecycle management and contribute to audit preparation activities.
  • Stay informed about regulatory standards and best practices related to SAP security.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to support security operations.
  • Communicate technical or complex security topics clearly to stakeholders.

 

How I make a difference in this role

As an Associate Analyst, I bring a solid foundation in SAP systems, applications, and processes, with growing experience in SAP security architecture and controls. I support key activities within SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), particularly Access Control and Process Control, and understand the regulatory standards and best practices that guide secure SAP operations.

 

I apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to help identify security issues, assess risks, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders. I assist with managing user roles and authorizations, performing security reviews, and helping ensure compliance with internal policies. I also contribute to security incident handling, including gathering information for root‑cause analysis.

 

My responsibilities include supporting certificate lifecycle management, preparing materials for audit processes, and helping maintain alignment with Group‑level Information Security policies. I play a role in maintaining the integrity and security of global systems by supporting both proactive and reactive security initiatives and helping surface emerging trends to leadership.

I assist in recommending actions to mitigate security risks, contribute to projects that ensure compliance with Company security requirements, and help maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures. I also support the development and rollout of security training, help compile compliance reports, and collaborate with functional business teams to implement mitigating controls.

 

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Around 1–2 years of experience in an SAP Security or related technical support role
  • Experience working within an Information Security function or supporting security related activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self motivated, organized, and able to work with guidance as well as independently
  • Familiarity with common security tools, practices, and methodologies
  • Foundational understanding of SAP GRC, including Access Control concepts

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • College degree or equivalent experience in an IT related field
  • Coursework, training, or certification related to SAP GRC or SAP Security
