Here at RS, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our world-class People Function as a People Specialist covering Iberia. This individual will truly sit at the very heart of our Iberian operations, interacting with every department of our organisation at a variety of levels.
So, what will you be doing?
This is an incredibly varied role but as a general overview; you will ensure that all People activities and processes are aligned to our Group values and behaviours, and of course, in compliance with local legislation.
Beyond this you will also provide support and HR knowledge to the Iberia market, whilst partnering with Global and European HR teams to successfully run and complete the People processes in Iberia.
What else would you be responsible for?
There will be a lot of variety in this role, but you can expect the following:
- Work with the global Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers on all recruitment processes in Iberia

Coordinate and support with Onboarding processes for new employees.

Identify local needs and support in the execution of the local people strategy.

Develop social relations actions and ensure strong relationships are built with social partners and oversee collective labour agreements are observed.

Support the various Human Resources processes e.g. Objective/OKR setting, performance management, calibration, career advisor, Reward and Compensation, Onboarding, Recruiting & Talent Acquisitions, L&D, Talent Management, legal and litigious processes, succession planning, coaching, and supporting senior management

Own the D&I plan and the related actions.

Articulate and ensure the right deployment of employee engagement and retention initiatives.

Support managers on performance management practices.

Partner with the Talent management team to ensure tools and solutions are appropriate.

Build and maintain strong partnerships with business leaders, key stakeholders, and social partners.

Bring new and innovative thinking to the market, looking at best practice and ensuring that we remain First Choice as an organisation.

Attend regular meetings with the Iberia People team and other market functions to ensure that the internal communications actions are aligned with the Region / Iberia´s objectives.

Administer HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment, leavers, insurances, public updates, working with the external agency.

Manage payroll process with the external agency, ensuring all policies and systems are current & updated to ensure accuracy.
What skills/capabilities and experience would you need to do well in this role?

Speaks English fluently and can translate business documents.

IT literate, with proven ability in using Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Power BI to extract, manipulate and display data in a meaningful and insightful manner.

Excellent stakeholder management ability with exceptional communication skills.
