Location: This role is offered on a hybrid basis, which could involve a combination of working from our Corby, London (Kings Cross) or Manchester office or also remotely.

We are looking for a talented and creative Employee Experience Communications Lead to join our People team and support the development of our new self-service portal, People Assist. In this role, you will create, edit, and maintain high-quality, engaging content that empowers employees to easily access the information they need to manage HR-related queries. Your primary focus will be on developing content for the portal, ensuring it aligns with our company voice, values, and legal standards.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate with the People team to conceptualise, draft, and edit a wide range of content, including policies, knowledge articles, FAQs, and manager toolkits that are clear, legally sound, and user-friendly.
- Leverage customer feedback and data insights to continuously improve content and ensure it meets employee and manager needs.
- Maintain a consistent tone and style across all written materials, championing plain English and ensuring a natural, engaging voice that aligns with our values.
- Apply SEO best practices to content, including identifying key terms and optimising articles for improved search functionality.
- Manage content governance, ensuring all documentation is rigorously fact-checked, accurate, and up to date.
- Work with internal teams to develop training materials and communications to support new policies and content updates.
About you:
- Extensive experience in content creation, ideally in a large organisational setting, with a focus on writing clear and engaging documentation.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex information into accessible language.
- Highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with content management systems and tools, with proficiency in SEO practices and a passion for improving content usability.
- Self-motivated, able to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
