The RS Group Talent & Organisation Effectiveness team exists within the broader People function to maximise the performance of our business, by pulling the levers of high performance at an individual, team and organisational level. We are accountable for setting and governing global frameworks, policies, processes and platforms that support our businesses, in the areas of: diversity equity and inclusion; capability development and culture; leadership and talent, including early careers; organisation design, and strategic workforce planning.

About the role 

 

The Director of Group Organisational Effectiveness will partner with the People team and business leaders to drive end-to-end assessment, design, deployment, and sustainability of organisational effectiveness programs and strategies, as well as measure the effectiveness of key transformation projects and report results to the business. The person in this role will consult with the business leaders involved in transformation initiatives to identify effective decision-making and operating models to execute business objectives, transition ways of working and structure, and identify the required organisational capability to deliver against goals.

 

How I make a difference in this role:

 

  • Create and deploy a best in class global organizational effectiveness framework and partner with the People team and business leaders to create a comprehensive plan that enables successful delivery of organisational change, aligned to our strategic objectives. 
  • Design and deliver solutions that enable business readiness and ensure success of organizational effectiveness initiatives, acting as an internal consultant with the People team and business leaders on standing up the most effective and efficient operating models.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Partner with the People team and business leaders to enable the large-scale, complex, enterprise-wide organisation change programmes that deliver significant value to the business, including organisational design and resource model transitions. 
  • Work hand in hand with the People Business Partner community and T&OE team to ensure organisational changes translate effectively into business processes, job roles and responsibilities, governance, capabilities and ways of working.  
  • Bring strategic thought leadership and best practice to the table, driving high levels of collaboration and influence through the creation of strong network across the Group.
  • A trusted thought leader to give guidance and counsel through business readiness planning, support execution of agreed priorities and deliver insights productively through stakeholder management, utilise data and KPI’s for measurement and tracking.

Candidate requirements 

 

Essential Skills & Experience

 

  • Proven experience with organizational development, organizational design processes and change and leading major transformation initiatives, including experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives or transformations in collaboration with a Senior Leadership team
  • Strong experience in implementing HR technologies and strategic workforce planning methodologies.
  • Experience of working in global organisations and across multiple geographies.
  • Expertise in workforce analytics, organisational modeling, and change management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate in a global environment, working across functions and business units and can influence senior leadership.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization - formally and informally.
  • Competent at multi-tasking and managing demands across numerous projects and client groups.
  • Ability to create clear, concise, and convincing communications and presentations.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work with objectivity in an ambiguous, high change environment.
  • Creative problem solver with a high intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent consulting skills with a client-focused mind-set; building valuable relationships and collaboration
  • Excellent business acumen, project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
