Head of Sales Benelux  

 

Join our dynamic team as the Head of Sales Benelux, where you will lead and coordinate our commercial sales teams (field, internal, corporate) to achieve sustainable and profitable growth across the Benelux region. With an established turnover of approximately €80 million, our ambitious goal is to exceed €125 million within the next three years.

As the Head of Sales Benelux, you will directly oversee a multi-disciplined sales organization and collaborate closely with our EMEA counterparts to ensure strategic alignment at both corporate and non-corporate levels. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and drive our business forward in a thriving market. 

 

What you will be doing:

Lead, Develop & Manage the Sales Organization

  • Lead and inspire a multi-disciplined sales team to position RS as the first choice for stakeholders.
  • Act as a visionary coach, enhancing strategic thinking within the Sales Leadership team.
  • Embed our purpose and values throughout the organization and ways of working.

 

Execute Strategy

  • Implement the RS strategy swiftly and manage risks effectively.
  • Oversee the compliant and governed end-to-end sales cycle.
  • Lead the transition to strategic partnerships with high-value customers.

 

Commercial Activities

  • Create and nurture pipeline opportunities to grow the Benelux market.
  • Mitigate revenue risk through robust contract renewal and agreement management.
  • Maximize margin opportunities and develop a world-class approach to bids and tenders.

 

Horizon Scanning

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the market, supplier, and competitor landscape.
  • Identify and nurture relationships for targeted acquisitions.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and innovations to adapt our Go-To-Market strategy.

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to execute projects and strategies.
  • Work closely with the P&SM team to increase brand penetration and market share.
  • Engage at the executive level with RS, customers, and suppliers to achieve goals. 

 

If you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you:

  • Proven track record of significant sales growth in a complex, matrix business environment.
  • Strong understanding of customer behaviours, purchasing patterns, and marketing principles.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence at all levels.
  • Enthusiastic leader driving high performance and accountability.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong knowledge of B2B sales, distribution industry, industrial MRO, OEM and industrial value-added solutions.
  • Experience in digital business and finance skills with P&L drivers.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
