About the Role

Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will oversee key accounting functions, ensure compliance with internal controls, and provide critical financial data to support decision-making processes. This role requires excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end closing tasks across multiple entities, including preparation and review of journal entries, variance analysis, and data collection from relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations with the ability to adjust priorities as business needs evolve.
• Perform data analysis to ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and company policies.
• Prepare and distribute periodic financial reports to management and address any related inquiries.
• Ensure accuracy and data integrity for financial information managed by the team.
• Review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed asset ledger, including proper recording of additions, disposals, depreciation, and useful life adjustments.
• Interpret and analyse general business information and documents as needed.
• Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation and assistance.
• Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
• 5-10 years of relevant experience, with 3-5 years in an accounting leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley).
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP preferred).
• Advanced analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Bilingual proficiency is preferred but not required.
