The Department Trainer’s primary responsibility is to conduct the training of new employees in the department. They will conduct training on all the core tasks within the department and perform evaluation audits on Associates to ensure procedures are being followed in compliance with the approved work instruction. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arrange and conduct training for employees.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the trainee’s job performance against the approved work instructions.
  • Provide coaching and re-training to employees that are not meeting the quality or productivity standards.
  • Be a role model in working to the department’s work instructions, demonstrating excellent quality and productivity performance, along with safe working behavior.
  • Perform process audits on staff to ensure work instructions are being followed effectively.
  • Will perform core job tasks in the department when not performing training or auditing duties.
  • Perform other relevant duties and tasks as required.

Essential Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Understands the core jobs processes within the department (against the approve work instructions).
  • Strong knowledge of the errors that impact our customers and quality performance, RA’S, QC Audits, internal errors and corrective actions from the customer.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with the Knapp screens and relevant sections of SAP system.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. and will occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organization skills and written communication
  • Basic Computer skills


  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 1 year on the job training experience
  • Requires use of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
