About the Role
Role Purpose
You will manage the daily operations of the Delivery Planning function including purchase order delivery management and customer demand purchase order execution. You will have direct responsibility for managing Supply Chain’s service strategies while maximizing process efficiencies and functional productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure stock availability by using proper planning policies and service strategies.
- Identify service opportunities that enhance the customer experience and ensure on-time delivery performance to customers and from supplier partners.
- Sustain market leading service levels that leverage automated solutions for scalability of real-time purchase order delivery information from Supplier Partners.
- Manage the review, approval, and release of purchase orders as it relates to the supply planning activity.
- Review MRP planning exception reports weekly and acts to pull-in, push-out or cancel excessive scheduled receipts with supplier where appropriate.
- Work together with Sales and Suppliers to execute order expedites.
- Acknowledge purchase orders and updates delivery information in SAP system
- Proactively communicate delivery issues in a manner to support and improve customer experience
- Participate in company training programs when applicable.
- Perform other duties related to delivery management or non-inventory related tasks as assigned by Supply Chain Management
Essential Skills & Experience
- 1+ years in a supply chain, operations or customer service-related role.
- Exhibits strong customer service and is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
- Can effectively communicate (verbal, written and listening).
- Must have strong teamwork and organizational skills
- Managing through systems by implementing best practices.
- Knows how to set priorities and can quickly zero in on what is critical.
- Set’s objectives and goals through effective planning and accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks/projects.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of customer services experience in a highly transactional and demanding environment.
