Implementation Technician 

Remote – with Nationwide Travel (midlands)

 

Here at RS Group we have an exciting opportunity for an Implementation Technician, this is a dynamic role where you’ll combine customer service, and technical implementation support You’ll be a trusted partner to our customers, managing on-site Implementation of our inventory solutions nationwide, although predominantly midlands based.

 

You will support the on-boarding of existing and future Managed Inventory Services, via a defined implementation process to ensure a smooth handover.

 

Supporting our wider Value-Added Services team where appropriate in scoping and validating opportunities to ensure the correct solution is being proposed.

You will play a pivotal role in our continued drive to make amazing happen!

 

So, what does this opportunity involve?

Implement industry recognised best practice project installations for Inventory Solutions and acceptance into service frameworks including support for ongoing implementations around break fix & service issue resolution. 

 

Work with senior management to implement on-boarding of new customer installations from initial sales visit through customer proposal to systems configuration, installation at customer site (including end user training) and then handover to branch network for business as usual activity such as ongoing replenishment.

 

Support the physical configuration of any hardware (Vending machines, ConnectPoint terminal) along with autonomous break fix support for:

    • Electrical and Mechanical repairs
    • Software troubleshooting
    • Firmware maintenance
    • Machine servicing
    • Connectivity issues
    • Any other hardware & software issues

 

Support customers in identifying and implementing connectivity requirements for Industrial Vending machinery.

Provide customers with training to support and service hardware/software relating to Inventory Solutions.

 
A bit about what you will need to be a success in this role

  • Full clean driving licence
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft packages, specifically Excel
  • Happy to travel Nationwide
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and flexible. A natural problem solver.
  • Customer-first mindset with experience in service or sales roles.
  • Understanding of stock control or warehouse practices.
