About the role


The Internal Sales Coach is a key member of the Internal Sales team for the largest commercial market in RS Group.


This role is accountable for the sales coaching & developing selling skills of Internal sales community to drive overall sales performance quality of customer interaction with focus on increasing conversation rates.

Working in partnership with IS Leadership team create structured training approach for the team & learning culture.


To create high performance culture to continually raise the bar of high performance and nurture colleagues to increase quality of customer interactions & conversion rates.


Ultimately this supports the achievement of the UK&I ambition to go from £500m to £1bn by 2027 and deliver the RS Way. The Internal Sales function is a key critical function to execute the Strategy to achieve those ambitions. The Internal Sales function is an enabler for driving the Value Proposition and Value-Added Solutions and is the human touch that complements our digital business.


What we’re looking for


  • Coach & mentor Internal sales teams to drive high-performance culture
  • Participate in the hiring process, onboard & train Internal salespeople
  • Develop individual coaching plans, educational materials, including presentations, sales scripts and case studies
  • Conduct skills gap analysis & create training plans to meet financial objectives
  • Set annual learning & development objectives for the sales team
  • Actively use & make necessary changes in Genesys voice analytics system to support training
  • Assess effectiveness of coaching & training programmes in Internal Sales
  • Identify individual & team training needs

A bit about you


  • Experience as a Sales coach being preferrable
  • Successful record of Sales or Account Management experience
  • Exceptional coaching skills
  • Experience of CRM systems, with Salesforce being an advantage
  • Exceptional skills in communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver effective coaching
  • Experience with building & developing teams
  • Understanding of our marketplace & our customer’s needs being an advantage
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment in a large matrix organisation
  • Additional training certification is a plus
