Hardware Technician (UK Based)
Location: Corby (Onsite – 5 days a week)

RS Group is presently in search of a Hardware Technician to join its permanent team. As a Hardware Technician, you will collaborate with the broader engineering team to fulfil local hardware needs both onsite and for remote users. Your role will involve ensuring the functionality and availability of our technology for internal users, as well as identifying areas for improvement.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborating with the wider technology team and various departments within the local business
  • Managing and maintaining presentation equipment at the local site
  • Preparing devices and peripherals for end users
  • Tracking, repairing, and redistributing returned devices
  • Receiving mentoring and training from the regional engineering team to enhance technical skills
  • Daily inspection of all presentation equipment
  • Adhering to local work practices, legal requirements, and health and safety regulations
  • Compliance with Group and Global IT policies, processes, and procedures

 

About you
This role is entry-level, offering the successful candidate the chance to develop technical skills in End User Computing and gain exposure to modern technologies, from hardware support to Teams Rooms.
Ideal candidates should possess the following:

  • An interest in working in technology support
  • Eagerness to learn and ability to follow directions
  • Fluency in the local language
  • Willingness to travel to different sites as needed
