Enterprise Architect

Join us as an Enterprise Architect where you will be involved in offering the RS Group Plc a wide range of services, from business modelling, creating target architectures, acting in an advisory capacity, performing technical due diligence, portfolio planning and supporting the Office of the CTO in technology related activities.

This role is expected to be engaged in the largest transformation activities that RS has undertaken playing an important role in shaping the direction of technology investment to support business goals therefore, you must be an Enterprise Architect with hands on experience within ERP/SAP.

What you will do

• Contribute to architectures strategies, principles, patterns, policies, and standards.
• Apply architecture techniques to communicate alignment to business strategy Contribute to the knowledge base of the Group’s Enterprise Architecture, including models and architectural views of supporting business, application, and technology domains.
• Produce Architecture Definition Documentation for investment and portfolio feasibility.
• Provide consultancy support to strategic decision making using architectural models.
• Definition of baseline and target architectures, across multiple domains, in support of strategic initiatives.
• Assess and communicate the impacts, trade-offs, risks, costs, benefits and opportunities of proposed solution options.
• Assure solution estimates for input to Investment Proposals
• Provide input to the IT Strategy.
• Understand and detail potential disruptive and competitive threats from environmental scanning activities.
• Participate in enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development
• Influence operating model design and organisation skills requirements

A bit about you

• You are an expert in ERP and supply chain technology and can contribute and advise on the future states of our ERP Systems and supply chain technologies developing pragmatic architectures and roadmaps to guide delivery teams.
• An extensive knowledge of SAP, additionally having implementation experience of SAP/S4 in an EA capacity

• Implementation experience of business processes across Warehouse Management, Logistics, Production Planning and Sales and Distribution.
• Ideally, educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
• Exemplar communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong experience (i.e., 5 years +) of working as an enterprise architect with exposure to EA frameworks (Zachman, TOGAF)
• Experience of business transformation
