Sales Director is accountable for leading and coordinating the leaders (Internal Sales Managers, Sales Managers) and commercial sales teams (Field, Internal, Corporate) in delivering sustainable and profitable sales and market share growth across Scandinavia.  The market has an established turnover of ca.  €57 million with an aspiration to exceed €90 million.

In this role you will directly lead a multi-disciplined Scandinavian Sales organisation and collaborate across EMEA to ensure alignment of strategy and approach at corporate and non-corporate level.

 

What you will do:

Lead, develop and manage the sales organisation:

  •  Lead, motivate & inspire a multi-disciplined organisation of accredited Sales Professionals to enable RS to become First Choice for customers, suppliers, employees, and shareholders and lead the transformation from a product lead business to a more service and solution lead business

Execute strategy:

  • Execute end-to-end sales cycle in a compliant and governed manner and contribute and execute an organic and in-organic strategy to gain profitable market share
     

Commercial:

  • Create, nurture, win pipeline opportunities to grow the Scandinavia market organically in line with business expectations and mitigate risk to revenue through robust contract renewal and agreement management and maximize margin opportunities to achieve business expectations
     

Horizon scanning:

  • Have a broad and deep understanding of the market, supplier, and competitor landscape
  • Keep abreast of new technologies, innovations, customer needs to enable adaptation of Go to Market Strategy and of emerging trends in the marketplace and potential disruptors

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Identify and work with a wide range of stakeholders to execute projects and strategy
  • Work in a collaborative manner with the Product und Supplier Management team to increase brand penetration in the customer base and gain market share and across the market leadership team in a seamless and fluid manner to achieve business expectations

 

 

A bit about you:

  • Experience in managing multi-disciplined teams (Field Sales, Internal Sales, Corporate)
  • Strong knowledge of B2B sales environment and knowledge of distribution industry, electronics, industrial MRO, OEM, industrial value-added solutions
  • Proven track record of sizable sales growth in a complex, matrix business environment
  • Demonstrable ability to challenge, build credibility and work with integrity at all levels within the organisation to influence behavioral changes and development of skill sets for the future business needs and ability to be a successful mentor, coach, and leader for a high-performing sales team
  • Excellent skills in communication, both written and verbal, with fluent English & Danish language capability and understands Swedish & Norwegian
  • Experience of working in multiple products, technology solutions environment such as distribution, digital ecosystem, or wholesale or another value-added business services sector
  • Experience within Value Added Solutions/services like VMI solutions, E-procurement, Inventory Solutions etc. would be an advantage
