Join our high-performing Finance team as the Finance Manager for Scandinavia! In this pivotal role, you'll be a key member of the Scandinavian Leadership Team, representing finance for the region. You'll provide valuable insights into performance, support strategic direction, and collaborate with partners to drive commercial value while ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment while supporting strategic growth initiatives across the region.
What You'll Be Doing:
Drive Decision Support: Utilize data to identify trends and performance opportunities across customer types and sales channels. Proactively encourage market teams to leverage this analysis for informed decision-making. Act as the focal point for performance management, covering sales, gross margin, and operating costs.
Provide Strategic Insights: Offer commercial finance input to align sales, margin, and cost forecasts with the Group’s objectives. Assess customer and commercial plans to ensure they support the overall business strategy while maintaining a commercial mindset in decision-making.
Monitor Performance: Oversee performance against forecasts, delivering accurate and realistic commentary, including risk analysis and root cause assessments for key variances. Foster effective relationships with leadership and functional teams to enhance collaboration.
Lead Reporting Initiatives: Collaborate with the Operational Accounting SSC in the UK to ensure accurate cost management. Develop tailored reports and management information that support strong business performance and adhere to Group submission deadlines.
Forecast and Budget: Translate functional objectives into robust financial plans and KPIs, ensuring clarity and relevance in all management information. Take proactive measures to meet and exceed performance targets.
Champion Continuous Improvement: Work closely with finance leaders to share best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team, while actively managing your own development.
About You:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, or equivalent) with significant finance experience in a fast-paced, professional environment, ideally in multi-site, B2B services.
- Senior Management Expertise, with a proven ability to build strong relationships at all levels, fostering collaboration in both junior and senior teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement within matrix structures, adept at managing internal and external relationships.
- Effective Financial Communication, able to distil and present key financial insights to management and broader teams.
- Strong Commercial Acumen, with a demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that drive commercial success.
- Team Player, enthusiastic and collaborative in approach.
- Fluency in English and Danish or Swedish.
