RS Group is currently in search of a skilled Business Analyst to join our team permanently, initially aligned, but not exclusively, to the infrastructure domain.  As a Business Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to assist the business in achieving its objectives and goals. This involves collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization to ensure that business needs are thoroughly explored, documented, analysed, and validated, resulting in solutions that align with the objectives of our change initiatives. 

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Being the interface between business and technical stakeholders to ensure mutual understanding: 
  • Will work closely with the business stakeholders to ensure their needs are captured in a clear, concise, and unambiguous way. 
  • Ensure business requirements, related benefits, and acceptance criteria are fully understood by all. 
  • Provide thought leadership, ideas, recommendations, and information to the teams and business areas they work with. 
  • Use communication skills (listening, written, and verbal) to convey understanding. 
  • Will take ownership of the requirements, providing input to project deliverables and controls as required. 
  • Will work together with our architects to enable them to design solutions that are fully reflective of those requirements. 
  • Will work together with our engineers to ensure delivery meets expectations. 
  • Responsible for the estimation and planning of the analysis tasks. 
  • Takes responsibility for analysis tasks and ensures they are completed in a timely fashion. 
  • May be required to assist senior stakeholders with business case development and rationale to ensure alignment with strategy.  
  • Actively assisting the vendor selection process where applicable. 
  • Ensuring best practice methods are employed. 
  • Share knowledge of techniques and working practices for the benefit of others in the practice.<span 335557856="" data-ccp-props="{"> 
     

About You: 

The ideal candidate for this role would be an experienced Business Analyst with a focus on delivering infrastructure projects within mid to large organizations. Additionally, we are seeking candidates with the following skills: 

 

What you need: 

  • Proven experience in a Business Analyst role and proficiency aligned with the RS BA Competency Framework. 
  • Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies. 
  • Ability to conduct effective requirements workshops and adapt to apply various elicitation techniques accordingly. 
  • Proficient in writing clear, verifiable requirements to a testable level. 
  • Skilled in writing high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria. 
  • Proficiency in process modeling analysis and notation (As-is, To-be, workflows, user journeys, etc.). 
  • Ability to convey requirements using appropriate approaches to aid understanding, such as visual representations, use case diagrams, activity diagrams, etc. 
  • Ability to connect with stakeholders at a level conducive to easier collaboration. 
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability. 
  • Ability to think critically, and investigate options and alternatives, rather than accepting the first solution offered. 
  • Ability to see the big picture and anticipate needs by rising above low-level details. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple tasks in line with project timelines. 
  • Ability to assess the project's pulse and, when necessary, go the extra mile to drive results
